ROCKUS is a one day music event where we aim to bring the BIG festival atmosphere to our small town for one day.

Information

What is it?

ROCKUS is an afternoon/evening of live entertainment including 6 bands on three stages, an open-mic stage and a headline performance from Dub Pistols. You’re welcome!

Where is it?

Longmeadow Sports Centre, Whitchurch, Hampshire, RG28 7RB.

When is it?

Saturday 30th April 2016, 1.00pm – late.

You're in a cool band that wants to play?

If you are in a kick-ass band that wants to perform on stage at ROCKUS 2016, please get in touch by clicking here.

Anyone can come to ROCKUS and perform on the open-mic stage!

When should I arrive?

Ideally turn up at 1.00pm on the dot, or any time after that.

Is it £15 entry all day and all night (18+ years of age and over).

Yes – it’s £15 entry, providing you buy your ticket on-line*. Tickets may be available on the gate, but this will be strictly subject to availability following on-line sales, and will be priced at £18 per adult. We’d really like you to buy your ticket on-line as, this way, you’re guaranteed entry. Either way, once you’ve paid and got your wristband you can come and go as you please. *There is a small booking fee of 75p for on-line tickets.

What about me? I'm between 13 and 17 years of age

You can come too. Save up your pocket money, pay £9.50 (£10 on the gate) and you can come to this kick-a** show too. You can't drink alcohol though, and we'll be watching you!

12 years old or less?

You must be accompanied by a grown up. You get to come to the event for free, but you don't get into the main arena after 8.00pm, there is a limited capacity and you count as real people even though you're only small (*grown-ups - you could buy a £10 wristband in order to get the younger kids into the hall for the headline act, but we think you should spend the money on a babysitter and a few beers instead. You've earned it.)

Joanna's Teddy

Something extra for the “little ones” this year! Come and meet Joanna’s Teddy author and illustrator, hear readings from the author, other fun readings, Poetry workshop, Create illustrations, come along between 3.00 and 5.00 p.m.

Please note, children can come and go as they please and are not fully supervised; they firmly remain “your” responsibility!

Money

THIS IS A CASH ONLY VENUE

No Debit or Credit cards are excepted. You purchase drinks with tokens that you pay for with cash at the dedicated token sales desk. Tokens cost 50p and £1. Tokens are used at most festivals. It makes paying for beer at the bar simple and quick, thus speeding up service and maximising time for drinking!

Unused tokens can be refunded up until 11:00pm

Parking

There is no customer parking on the Rockus site. Parking is available on the tennis courts at Testbourne Community School, Micheldever Road, a short (sign posted) five minute walk away.

The map below explains where to park and how to get to the Rockus event.
